EXIMA participates in Third MedPartnership Coordination Group Meeting 11-13 October
On the third meeting in Split, Croatia 11-13 October, EXIMA will give a presentation to the UNEP/MAP GEF
Strategic Partnership for the Mediterranean Large Marine Ecosystem (MedPartnership). The MED Partnership
is a collective effort of leading organizations (regional, international, non governmental, etc.) and
countries sharing the Mediterranean Sea towards the protection of the marine and coastal environment.

Performance benchmarking in Pulp and Paper industry.
EXIMA is leading a consortium for benchmarking the pulp and paper industry in Vietnam. The consortium has been awarded the assignment
by the International Finance Corporation, IFC, a member of the World Bank Group. The objective of the assignment is to evaluate the current
environmental performance of the pulp and paper industry in the country and to identify essential saving opportunities through a series of site assessments.

EXIMA develops carbon reduction roadmap
Together with TwoTomorrows, UK, EXIMA has been assigned for the development of a carbon reduction roadmap for a leader
in the semiconductor industry. Over the course of the next months, EXIMA will assess the scope 2 (GHG Protocol) carbon reduction
potential and provide a cost efficient reduction roadmap.

Technical Assistance to the Regional Activity Centre for Cleaner Production of the United Nations Environment Programme/MAP
A corner stone of the centre's activities is the
GRECO initiative
which aims at promoting and transferring Cleaner Production techniques to industry in the Mediterranean Region.
EXIMA has been appointed to provide advisory services related to the design of the architecture of the GRECO strategy
and the implementation workprograms matching the activities of National Cleaner Production Centres and other relevant initiatives
in the Mediterranean region.

report describes in short our reflections and progress in adressing Human Rights, Anti-corruption, Labour and the environment in our operations.",

EXIMA assists UNIDO in Cleaner Production capacity builing in Albania
EXIMA will provide guidance and training of the first group of national CP experts in Albania as part
of the National Cleaner Production Programme (NCPP).
The programme is hosted by ECAT Tirana and EXIMA will provide training activities focusing on practical implementation of
cleaner production in Food and Beverage industries. Together with the ECAT team, EXIMA will review a select of industries and provide
guidance for identifying essential and attractive saving opportunities in manufacturing.

EXIMA provides support to the Nordic Council of Ministers
EXIMA will provide assistance to the Nordic Council of Ministers energy efficiency working group (AGEE) for
identifying cases and methods for improving energy efficiency among citizens and private companies.
The assistance will include research on best practises in the public sectors within the Nordic countries
in order to establish a idea catalogue, methods and cases from the public sector which can be of inspiration
for developing municipal energy policies targeting the private sector. The catalogue of ideas will include
cases on e.g. energy management, buildings, behaviour, purchase policy and renewable energy solutions.

EXIMA develops strategy roadmap for deployment of Cleaner Production in the Mediterranean Countries for
the Regional Activity Centre for Cleaner Production (CP/RAC), Spain.

EXIMA assigned to develop Cleaner Production Programme for IFC
On behalf of the International Finance Corporation, IFC, EXIMA will design
a program for industry in South Africa. Forecasts predict limitations in the access
to water and energy for manufacturing industry in the country due to an increased
demand and limited supplies. “Improving of the environmental performance of manufacturing
industry through Cleaner Production provides important business opportunities for achieving substantial cost savings in operations
while respecting the need for growth in business”, says project manager Lars Munkøe.

EXIMA co-authors article on Cleaner Production in Journal of Cleaner Production, Volume 18, Issue 18
The article "An integrated approach towards sustainable entrepreneurship - Experience from
the TEST project in transitional economies" is the result of a cooperation between Roberta De Palma, EXIMA
and Vladimir Dobes, International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics at the Lund University.
The paper presents a practical approach and results for an effective and efficient integration of tools for industry of preventive
environmental management and addresses tools as well as results achieved through the implementation of the Transfer of Environmentally Sound Technologies (TEST) in 17 enterprises of the
Danube Region.

Bavarian Nordic, a Danish manufacturer of pharmaceuticals, is undertaking Sustainable Design of a investment project at the manufacturing site in Denmark.

EXIMA Develops Food Processing Benchmarking Tool for IFC
EXIMA recently won a tender under
IFC’s (International Finance Corporation,
a member of the World Bank Group)
ECA Cleaner Production Program to develop a global benchmarking reference guide
for evaluating the resource efficiency of the food industry. This tool will accumulate data on sectors including
meat and fish processing, fruit and vegetable processing, milk processing, bakery product and pasta processing, and beverages.
The resource efficiency of these sectors will be measured on the basis of their water and energy consumption,
solid waste and waste water generated per unit of production. The food processing benchmarking tool will be used by IFC
to help its clients use their resources more efficiently, improving their operational performance and increasing profitability.

Standard for Energy Management system EN16001
Since 2001 Danish industries have had a unique opportunity for managing energy consumption and costs
by introducung a certified Energy Management System according to the National Standard DS2403. Following the
launch of the first international standard EN16001 on energy management systems in July 2009, the Danish standard was outphased by January 1st 2010.
Though the EN16001 have strong links to the DS2403, industries in compliance with the Danish Standard will need to introduce minor changes in order
to comply with the new standard. EXIMA has co-authored a publication (in Danish) which compares the two standards outlining major differences to
be addressed when adapting existing management systems to EN16001:2009.

On behalf of the City of Copenhagen, EXIMA supplies Carbon Credits for offsetting activities during the UNFCCC COP15 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
